Publisher's Comments:
Triggered by the disappearance of a brilliant young professor, this mystery takes the Hardy Boys first to Kenworthy College, where they find a puzzling message on an examination paper. But then their pal Chet Morton, with his new metal detector, and buddy Biff Hooper, turn up a clue that sends the young detectives on an exciting search in another direction--to the Honeycomb Caves. After many dangerous encounters, Frank and Joe discover a powerful searchlight on one of the craggy caverns along the seacoast. In the white glare of the searchlight, the startling secret of the caves is dramatically revealed. Praise for the Hardy Boys series on audio...
Contributor(S) Bio:
Franklin W Dixon :
was the pseudonym devised by Edward Stratemeyer for the author of a series of mystery books he was developing which became the Hardy Boys series. The first book, The Tower Treasure, originally published in 1927, was written by Leslie MacFarlane who went on to write 19 more, including #2 through #16. In all, there are 58 titles in the original Hardy Boys Mysteries series published between 1927 and 1979 written by 17 different men and women. Many of the books were later revised, adding another four "Franklin W. Dixons" to the total.
