Great Content. For nearly thirty years, the Journal of Biblical Counseling (previously the Journal of Pastoral Practice), has provided the forum for Biblical Counseling’s development and application. First generation pioneers (e.g., Jay Adams, Robert Smith, John Bettler, Wayne Mack) defined the discourse from 1977-1992 under Adams’s editorship. Since 1992, David Powlison has provided leadership for second generation authors (e.g., Ed Welch, Paul Tripp, Robert Jones), who have continued to refresh, extend, and apply the model under the name, Journal of Biblical Counseling (JBC).

Searchability. Have you ever wanted to search every issue of JBC to see what has been written on a specific issues like anxiety, multiple personality disorder, domestic abuse, etc.? For example, search for the word “marriage” and 100 articles with “marriage” highlighted 603 times will be listed. You can also search for one particular author – search for Paul Tripp and you will find the 18 articles he wrote.
