Publisher's Comments:
Description: Machen's classic defense of orthodox Christianity established the importance of scriptural doctrine and contrasts the teachings of liberalism and orthodoxy on God and man, the Bible, Christ, salvation, and the church. Though originally published nearly seventy years ago, the book maintains its relevance today.
Author Information: J. Gresham Machen was a professor at Princeton Theological Seminary for twenty-three years before founding Westminster Theological Seminary in 1929. After graduating from Johns Hopkins University in 1901, Machen enrolled in Princeton Theological Seminary, where he earned both a master's in philosophy and a bachelor's in divinity.
